The Lex & 3rd Block Association (L3BA), founded in 2022, is dedicated to serving the East Harlem community. While our grassroots approach is effective, L3BA's unregistered status has limited our access to vital grants. 

To overcome this, Brenda B, co-founder and project director of L3BA, is personally launching the Lex & 3rd Unity Project (L3UP). Set to be registered by 2026, L3UP will operate as a separate, companion nonprofit, also known as a fiscal sponsor or umbrella organization. Brenda will serve as L3UP's Grant Director.

This alliance enables L3BA to maintain its existing grassroots structure and operations while L3UP focuses on securing the grants needed for more beautification projects and community initiatives. We are committed to complete transparency as L3UP builds and grows, ensuring that our efforts unite and uplift community groups in East Harlem & beyond.
